GETTING THERE
Paris is linked to six ASEAN cities: Bangkok, Jakarta, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore. Other ASEAN capitals and major cities can be reached via the Gulf (Doha or Dubai) or via Bangkok and Singapore.
Formalities : Valid passport. Since 2015, visas have been abolished for Indonesia and Vietnam (for tourist travellers only). Visa on arrival for Cambodia and Laos and e-visa for Myanmar.
Time difference : +5 h or +6 h in summer; +6 h or +7 h in winter.
Coins : Many ASEAN countries have experienced significant fluctuations in their currencies since last year. On 15 February 2016, one euro was equivalent to 14,947 Indonesian rupiahs; 4.62 Malaysian ringgits; 53 Philippine pesos; 1.56 Singapore dollars; 39.81 Thai bahts and 25,012 Vietnamese dongs. The dollar is widely used in Cambodia and Laos.
