Au Dauphin - Tapas and design

The capital's finest swear by the Chateaubriand and the cuisine of the (very) talented Inaki Aizpitarte.

At the start of the new year, the young Basque is delighted to present us with a new address. And what a place it is! The Dauphin was designed by the famous architect Rem Koolhaas, with a luminous aluminium façade planted right on the pavement, white marble from floor to ceiling and huge mirrors on the walls...

The decor is breathtaking, but this time Inaki's cooking is as neo-tapas as ever. Delicious mallard terrine and foie gras; impeccable squid ink risotto; impressive oyster tapioca and black pudding. Definitely one of the most promising restaurants of 2011.

Around €30.
