Since the beginning of August, business travellers to Spain have had the opportunity to try out a new option launched by Iberia. The Spanish company has teamed up with local start-up BoB - to "Bag on Board - to offer the eponymous service. Prior to their flight, passengers can ask to have their luggage is picked up at its homehis hotel or its office. The baggage is checked in on the spot and then delivered to the passenger with the other suitcases on the airport carousel. In the meantime, passengers can track their baggage in real time by email or text message. The Bag on Board service is invoiced at 15 euros for the first bag, then 5 euros per additional bag, and is currently limited to the airline's two domestic hubs: Madrid and Barcelona.
