
In view of the diversity of protocols implemented by hoteliers To limit the effects of the pandemic, CDS Groupe intends to sort the wheat from the chaff by introducing a "Covid-19 index" within its booking tool. This initiative has several objectives: to inform travellers, to help them reinsure on compliance with health measures, but also to meet the safety challenges associated with the company's legal responsibility towards its employees.
With regard to this new health compliance standards of the business hotel sector, the specialist in business hotel reservations speaks of " the need to decipher the practices of establishments in the light of government recommendations " . In fact, the Covid-19 index, rated out of 10, is based on a survey conducted since 12 May 2020 among the 17,000 hotels listed in France, using a form drawn up from an analysis of existing certifications and recommendations developed by the main players in the hotel sector.
The study, which is currently underway, is due to finish on 31 August. 1,200 hotels are already listed on the CDS Booking reservation tool, with an average score of 8.1/10. Only establishments with a score of more than 7 are highlighted in the booking tool, and those with a score of less than 4 are not recommended to travellers. Those rated between 4 and 6.9 receive a "watch" notice from the CDS Groupe teams.
