After stopping off in Paris in September for a new hotel on the Champs Elysées, citizenM is continuing its expansion across the Atlantic. The budget lifestyle brand has just opened its first hotel in San Franciscoin the Union Square district. The hotel is the group's second opening in California this year, following the one in Los Angeles Downtown, and is part of an ambitious development plan that will see the brand appear next year in Miami and Chicago and add a second address in Seattle and Washington. By the end of 2022, the hotel portfolio will have grown to include 11 American establishments, for a total of 28 hotels worldwide.
Like all CitizenMs around the world, the San Francisco CitizenM offers 195 rooms with king-size beds, HDTVs and MoodPad tablets to control their use - spread over 12 floors - as well as a canteenM, a restaurant open 24/7. contactless" experience based on new application launched last year.
And, as always, citizenM San Francisco Union Square bases its offer on meticulous designdesigned by the Dutch agency Concrete in partnership with local architect Gensler. The entrance, located on the third floor, departs from the traditional lobby model by taking on the air of a lounge decorated with designer furniture, a multitude of books and works of art. All inspired by the ideas of equality and inclusion conveyed by the local neighbourhoods of Castro and Mission. The programme also includes a gym and a rooftop on the 13th floor with picnic tables and green spaces.
