This reopening has led to a boom in bookings at Delta Air Lines. "Since the announcement, we have on an ascending phase of demand to the destination, explains Béatrice de Rotalier. There is a real desire to travel to the USA. Although it's a little late for us to see a turnaround in the traffic situation at the end of 2021, I do think that the boom should be particularly noticeable in 2022." says Delta's Sales Director.

Business travel in wait-and-see mode

A scheduled return of traffic, but without the massive contribution of business travel. " The majority of passengers are expected to be leisure travellers. In the business segment, most budgets are still on hold. What's more, companies are beginning to entertain the idea of travelling differently. Travel less but travel better is probably the new credo" says Béatrice de Rotalier.

Delta, which works in joint venture with Air France-KLM, is expanding its winter programme in France. " We offer seven daily flights from Paris under our own colours. Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis, New York JFK and Seattle. Air France serves Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington."she adds.

For the summer season, Delta Air Lines is also announcing its return from Paris to Cincinnati, Raleigh/Durham and Salt Lake City, as well as the resumption of the seasonal service Nice-New York between spring and autumn. " We have no current plans to fly to other destinations in France, such as Lyon. The potential for a year-round flight remains limited. And our partnership with Air France and the SNCF ensures excellent connections with flights out of Paris from all regions." says Béatrice de Rotalier.

Among the products highlighted by this takeover is the accelerated installation of a Premium EconomyDelta Premium Select". According to Béatrice de Rotalier, all European routes should be introducing this class of travel next spring. The product is ideal for satisfying the needs of both leisure travellers looking for greater comfort and business travellers whose budgets are constrained by their companies.
