DOSSIER - Tel Aviv: the genesis of a start-up nation

Tel Aviv is a whirlwind of energy. Bars, cafés, restaurants and hotels blossom every month in a joyous, festive atmosphere. Israel's business capital is a breeding ground for start-ups and young talent, with many people in their thirties cultivating a relaxed way of life and a desire for novelty. That's how quickly the town is changing. Its beautiful promenade by the sea has been renovated, as has the Sarona district, where people enjoy themselves as much as they work. But once you've had your fill of energy, there's no reason why you shouldn't take the slightly more austere route to Jerusalem, where, despite the sometimes difficult political situation, there is nothing but beauty, eternity and spirituality.
