EasyJet is enhancing its offering for business travellers. In addition to reserving lounge access for them in Toulouse (see inset), the airline has just entered into a partnership with IHG as part of the hotel group's programme dedicated to SMEs and mid-tier companies, IHG Business Edge. Launched in 2018, the latter has tens of thousands of corporate accounts worldwide and is now being enhanced with reciprocal benefits linked to the easyJet Plus loyalty programme.
Under this agreement, SME easyJet Plus customers will be able to access IHG One Rewards Gold Elite status more quickly. At the same time, they will benefit from the advantages linked to the IHG Business Edge programme, notably preferential rates and loyalty benefits across the British group's 7,000 hotels in more than 100 countries worldwide.
Conversely, companies and their employees who are IHG Business Edge members will benefit from a 10 % discount on any new easyJet Plus membership. This is combined with the benefits of the airline's programme, notably priority boarding, seat selection and an additional cabin bag.
" We look forward to this strategic partnership, which illustrates our commitment to working with players in the travel ecosystem to build an ever more comprehensive experience for business travellers », commented James Marchant, Business Development Manager at easyJet. Meanwhile, Will Yell, Vice President of Commercial Operations for Europe at IHG Hotels & Resorts, believes that by combining easyJet plus and IHG Business Edge, IHG «helps business travellers save more, travel smarter, and enjoy a smoother, more rewarding experience.»
