Dubai's national carrier, Emirates Airlineshas just updated its booking policy, offering even more more flexibility for its passengers. The carrier is offering a cChange of reservation free of charge for a period of between 24 and 36 months from the date of issue..
In detail, travellers with tickets issued before 30 September 2020 for travel before 31 December 2021 can make a booking change at any time on 36 months. This is an extension of twelve months on the previous rule.
Customers with tickets issued after 1 October 2020 for travel before 31 December 2021 are being offered an extended validity period of 24 months.
Covid loyalty bonuses and comprehensive insurance also extended
There will be no additional charges for reissuing a ticket. Unused vouchers or flight segments of Emirates tickets continue to be refunded free of charge. Customers holding tickets issued directly by the airline do not need to contact Emirates. The carrier has automatically renewed the validity of the tickets.
Customers who have booked their tickets through a travel agency must contact the ticket office. The only rule is that tickets must be reissued before the expiry date.
Emirates is also extending theworldwide comprehensive travel insurance to all its passengers until further notice. Just like the status of Emirates Skywards premium members' frequent flyer miles. Platinum, Gold and Silver members have seen the validity of their status extended until 2022. The validity of all miles that have expired since April 2020 has also been extended until 31 August 2021.
What's more, Skywards offers double status miles on all Emirates and flydubai flights booked between 1 April and 30 June. for travel until 30 December 2021.
