Car park operator Indigo has teamed up with the architect Dominique Perrault to imagine the future of parking with regard to urban issues. In the new model envisaged, the car park of the future will cease to be a closed box and will become a site of connectionsThis is a sort of extension of street level, providing a home, for example, for new forms of soft mobility, as well as cultural spaces and service areas, including food-trucks, shops and logistics delivery solutions. Other developments envisaged include the storage of computer servers, and even above-ground agriculture. All of this concerns both the conversion of existing car parks and the creation of new types of car park integrated under the road.
