Utopia will be Futuroscope's major new feature for 2028. Anticipated for December 2027, the third «in-house» hotel will have a strong MICE focus, as the Vienne leisure park has decided to step up its efforts in this segment. With 245 rooms, the establishment will indeed house a seminar centre comprising a 200-seat amphitheatre and 6 meeting rooms with a total capacity of 150 people. Other areas of the building can be used by companies for their events, such as the striking central atrium, its 400-seat restaurant and the 250-seat bar. Utopia will be located at the entrance to Futuroscope and connected directly to L'Aquascope, the water park that opened in 2024.
With its three space-station-like circles, one of which will house the business centre, Utopia represents an €80m investment. The hotel will be Futuroscope's largest wholly owned resort property after Ecolodgee (120 lodges) and Station Cosmos (78 rooms). The site has nine other partner hotels located within a 1km radius of Futuroscope, representing a capacity of 2,000 rooms for some 7,000 beds.
A complementary offering from the Arena and the Palais des congrès
All the venues work with the Palais des congrès, which has 3 auditoriums (with 1,150, 300 and 150 seats) and the Arena (up to 6,000 people).« Utopia will complement the range of these facilities, consider Rodolphe Boutin, the managing director of Futuroscope. We thus hope to double our MICE business, which currently accounts for only 5% of our turnover. The park has many assets for hosting major events ». And to highlight its TGV station, which provides a link to Paris in 1 hour 30 minutes.
