The traditional increase in fares, which is a feature of business travel almost every year, will remain moderate in Western Europe next year. Visit 2016 report of global business travel price forecasts, published on 22 July by the GBTA and CWTis forecasting rate increases of between 0.7% for hotels and 0.5% for air and car rental. The Meetings & Events The cost per day and per participant will even fall next year (-0.4%) in the EMEA zone. Conversely, the sector will record clear increases in North America (+4.5%) and Asia Pacific (5%). The most dynamic business destinations will not be affected by the overall stability in fares: " six countries stand out for their increased demand for business travel, which is pushing up air fares", points out Joseph Bates, Vice President of Research at the GBTA Foundation. "In 2016, prices in India, China, Colombia, Mexico, Singapore and Australia will be at the top of the list of increases," he adds. The various data are available online at GBTA website.
