
The greet brand, launched by Accor in 2019 in Beaune, is gradually rolling out its offering in France, in particular close to major business hubs. This low-cost chain already has a hotel near St Charles station in Marseille and another near Marseille Provence airport. The chain is also present near Lyon Perrache station, in the Lyon Confluence district. New stopover in Bordeaux, where greet has set up shop two minutes from Bordeaux Mérignac airport. The location is naturally ideal for business stays for this establishment with 86 rooms and three meeting rooms, which was briefly launched in mid-March and will reopen its doors at the beginning of May.
True to the brand's concept, the emphasis is on conviviality - with after-work sessions every Thursday and pétanque tournaments - but above all on eco-responsibility. Green spaces guaranteed free of fertilisers and pesticides, insect houses, a vegetable garden next to the terrace: on its own scale, the hotel deploys several sustainable initiatives. Le greet is also committed to supporting small local businesses, with a shop showcasing their products, while the hotel's cuisine features regional produce such as cochon de Merignac, craft beers and products from the Tartifume farm in Pessac.
On the decor front, the Bordeaux Aéroport greeting features the art of recycling In the rooms, these include coat hooks made from door handles, empty tin cans transformed into bathroom bins and turnbuckles revisited as decorative elements. The decoration was designed by the hotel team in partnership with Atelier Solidaire Bordelais, which helps people with complicated backgrounds to get back into work. " Our team has been given carte blanche to create a unique atmosphere that reflects their personality." commented Hervé Zimmer, the hotel manager.
After making its debut in France and Germany, the greet brand is planning to the opening of 300 hotels by 2030These include Paris, Bordeaux, Rennes, Nancy, Vienna and London. But the brand is also targeting service-sector towns, with the next step being a hotel in Castres next May.
