In terms of security, while the fingerprint sensor under the screen has been improved compared to the Mate 20 Pro (the manufacturer's previous innovation in the Mate series, another top-of-the-range model) for greater speed, the P30 Pro loses 3D facial recognition in the process: the functionality remains, but via a simple camera, which is less reliable for identification purposes. Among the other features on offer here, the P30 Pro can replace the key on certain car models, thanks to a partnership signed with Audi. It can also send files very easily without contact to a laptop of the brand (system Huawei Share OneHop). The two nano-SIM card slots are both 4G and VoLTE compatible. Finally, and unsurprisingly, the prices are also very high end: €999 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage memory, €1,099 with 256GB.
