IHG accelerates growth in the Americas

The IHG Group is accelerating its growth throughout the world, but especially in the Americas with Holiday Inn, its luxury and lifestyle brands and its long-stay brands.

IHG Hotels & Resorts continues its growth phase with 1,800 hotel projects underway. More than 280,000 rooms will soon be added to its portfolio. 6,100 establishments opened worldwide. Long the world's leading hotel group before Marriott took over this role with its acquisition of Starwood in 2016, the British group now offers a total of 910,000 rooms. With a strong presence across the Americas, with more than 4,300 hotels, it is rolling out new brands such as Voco Hotels. Launched across the Atlantic, Atwell Suites opened its first two hotels last year, in Miami and Denver in 2022, and is looking to the future with confidence. a concept based on contemporary design with around thirty establishments in the pipeline. On the North American market, the Candlewood Suites brand is also confirming its expansion and should see its portfolio increase by a third, with 124 new hotels in its pipeline, compared with 368 currently open.
