It's in the brand new 'Piazza di Spagna' salon at ITA AirwaysITA's management presented its new frequent flyer programme at Rome Fiumicino airport's Terminal E.
Volare was launched last October, but is only now coming into its own with the integration of new partners and the expansion of the airline's destinations for this summer. The programme is designed as an ecosystem integrating flights, services and products to guarantee customers a unique travel experience.
An FFP that rewards every euro spent
The Volare FFP is based on actual expenditure rather than distance. The more the customer spends on the ticket price, the more points are collected. This fluctuates between 10 and 23 points per euro spent. Class of travel and level of membership also generate premiums. The airline promises not to place any restrictions on the dates or purchase of award tickets. What's more, all classes, fares and routes are redeemable on any date. The number of points required for award flights varies according to the value of the ticket at the time.
Volare members can therefore choose to use their points whenever they wish. For example, they can a mixed purchase solution, combining points and cash, using the "cash & points" mode.
Volare is a made-to-measure programme comprising four exclusive levels. The
Club Smart allows customers to collect and redeem points for every purchase made on ITA Airways flights and its partners. This includes Skyteam members. Passengers can use their points to travel to some 1,000 destinations.
From 30,000 points accumulated, passengers gain access to Club Plus. This earns 10% in extra points and entitles the passenger to additional baggage services, priority benefits on baggage tags, boarding, check-in and transfers. Passengers benefit from dedicated customer service. At 60,000 points, it's Club Premium where the points bonus is 20%. Benefits include lounge access, fast-track service and seat reservations. Last but not least, with Club Executive (90,000 points)Passengers earn 30% additional points and benefit from additional priorities on all services.
