Labels to reassure hotel guests

B&B Hotels is working with Socotec to prepare a certification framework, the Accor hotel group and Bureau Veritas, world leader in certification and inspection, have announced that they are working on a label aimed at certifying the level of safety and hygiene measures in hotels and restaurants. This work, carried out with doctors and epidemiologists, is being developed in consultation with Accor owners and the main groups representing the industry, such as the UMIH, the GNC and the GNI. The aim is to define health standards applicable to all Accor hotels as well as to other chains and independent hotels.

570 hotels and tourist attractions will be audited over the coming months, with a target of 37,000 establishments to be certified.
