Survey: iPad a must for half of business travellers

Digital tablets have taken a leading role in business travel, as confirmed by a recent USA Today survey.

The phenomenon was hardly in doubt, but its scale is no less edifying. In less than two years, in the wake of the iPad, digital tablets have established themselves as essential companions for frequent travellers. The survey published this week by USA TodayAccording to the survey, no fewer than 48% of business travellers carry a digital tablet in their luggage. There are very few people who are resistant to new technologies, with 84% of the 2756 or so travellers questioned taking at least two mobile devices with them. Laptops are still the preferred choice, with the combination of phone and PC (37%) ahead of phone and tablet (25%), but the combination of the three devices is on the increase. (22%).
