Malaysia Airlines is strengthening its intermodal transport offering through a new codeshare partnership with SNCF Voyageurs. The agreement will ensure smooth connections between the carrier's daily Paris-Kuala Lumpur flight and 27 SNCF rail destinations to and from Paris CDG airport.

The product follows the traditional framework of the SNCF Voyageurs TRAIN + AIR scheme. Malaysia Airlines passengers arriving at Paris-Charles de Gaulle will thus be able to easily continue their journey to numerous French cities via the SNCF TGV network. Tickets have been available for purchase since 10 July 2026 on the official Malaysia Airlines website.

On this occasion, Bryan Foong, Group Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia Aviation Group's Airline Business division, said: " This partnership with SNCF Voyageurs is a significant step in our strategy to offer truly seamless end-to-end connectivity to our customers across Europe. By integrating air and rail transport into a unified travel experience, we are extending our network beyond Paris-CDG to 28 French destinations, while offering greater comfort through simplified connections and a single itinerary. ".

As part of this agreement, Malaysia Airlines will place its marketing code on rail services operated by SNCF under the AccesRail IATA code 9B. Passengers will thus be able to book their train journey at the same time as their flight via Paris-CDG. They will benefit from a single booking, coordinated connections and simplified transfers, facilitating access to cities such as Aix-en-Provence, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Montpellier, Poitiers, Rennes, Strasbourg or Valence.

This collaboration also strengthens Malaysia Airlines' MHrail initiative, which aims to develop integrated air-rail transport solutions via major international hubs, notably Seoul and London Heathrow. It is part of the airline's overall strategy to improve the customer experience and redefine connectivity through partnerships that go beyond the traditional scope of air transport.
