As part of its Connect with Confidence programme presented at the end of last year, Marriott is gradually drawing up the outlines of its solutions for hybrid meetings which will be offered in the group's hotels, initially in the United States and Canada from March 2021before being extended worldwide.
Necessary technology, implementation of health protocols, optional PCR tests to enhance event safety : a number of ideas have been tested in real lifeThe first event took place in November 2020 at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner, Virginia. More recently, in January, another event was held at the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center, with 100 face-to-face participants and 800 virtual participants.
From these test meetings, Marriott drew a best practice guide "Connect with Confidence Hybrid Meetings and Events Insights", available on the Marriott Bonvoy Events website. In addition, meeting professionals lost in all these new trends and practices will also find a wealth of useful information at this website.
" While the sector sails in this changing environmentMarriott is proud to offer meetings and events professionals new hybrid solutions, as well as our own best practices and lessons learned from our events." said Tammy Routh, Senior Vice President, Global Sales Organization, Marriott International.
At the same time, Marriott has selected a list of suppliersincluding Encore, Cvent, Convene, MeetingPlay and Hopin, whose technology solutions will be offered across Marriott's portfolio of hybrid meeting hotels in the United States and Canada.
