7 June 2026 will go down in the history of the airline and of the Kingdom. Royal Air Maroc will inaugurate the first direct service between Casablanca and Los Angeles. A symbolic event for two destinations that will be in the spotlight in turn for the 2026 and 2030 Football World Cups. " This direct service to Los Angeles is much more than a new destination. The Casablanca-Los Angeles flight will be operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Departures will take place every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. The aircraft will take off from the Moroccan hub at 4.00 am, arriving in LA at 8.20 am. On the return journey, the aircraft will leave Los Angeles at 10.20am, arriving in Casablanca at 5.25am (D+1). Bookings have been open since early December.
In North America, Royal Air Maroc already serves New York and Washington, Miami, Montréal and Toronto. It should be noted that American airlines are also banking on this transatlantic route, such as Delta which is positioned on the Atlanta-Marrakechor United from New York.
Royal Air Maroc's expansion will not be confined to LAX. A new Casablanca-Saint Petersburg flight is scheduled for January 2026. And the airline recently unveiled nine new direct routes. BilbaoAlicante, Pointe-Noire, BeirutVerona, Lille and Tripoli are the destinations concerned. The airline's arrival in Lille is scheduled for July 2026.
Hamid Addou explains: " These new routes are a concrete expression of our growth ambition and a key step in our development plan. Since 2023, we have welcomed around ten additional aircraft, increased our frequencies to several strategic destinations and opened almost twenty international routes. In 2026, we are entering a new phase with at least nine new routes, strengthening Morocco's connectivity with the world's major cities and contributing to the Kingdom's economic and tourism influence.
