
After a fire inside Terminal 1 at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, the New York JFK on Thursday 16 February, the terminal was closed to the public. Many flights were diverted to other terminals at JFK. Or to other airports in the region, such as Newark, Boston and Washington Dulles. A number of international flights are still operating out of Terminal 4.
According to a tweet from the airport, thee terminal JFK 1 will remain closed on 17/02 due to electrical problems. The Port Authority is continuing to work with the terminal operator to restore flight operations as quickly as possible. However, travellers should check the status of their flight with their carrier before arriving at the airport.. This information concerns Air France, ITA and Lufthansa passengers in particular.whose aircraft take off from this terminal.
