Uganda Airlines: first flights to Europe

Since 18 May, Uganda Airlines has been operating four weekly flights between Entebbe and London Gatwick.

The aircraft officially landed for the first time at London Gatwick on 18 May. The aircraft of Uganda's national airline, Uganda Airlinesinaugurated a new era with this new direct air service to Europe from Entebbe International Airport.

Until now, only three European carriers linked Entebbe: Brussels Airlines from Brussels, KLM from Amsterdam and Turkish Airlines from Istanbul. Uganda Airlines thus becomes the first African airline to establish a link between Entebbe and Europe. London Gatwick in this case.

The new line will operate four times a week (Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday). It is a Airbus A330-800neothe most recent aircraft in the Uganda Airlines fleet, offering one product three classes (Business, Premium Economy and Economy). London thus becomes the airline's 17th destination. It is also its longest air route, covering a distance of 6,464 kilometres.
