From 8 April, the tarmac at Paris-CDG airport will see more of the shimmering livery of the low-cost carrier Volotea. The Spanish company, based in Barcelona, will be launching up to four flights a week from the French capital to Verona in Italy. Verona is an important base for Volotea, which serves around twenty destinations, including ten in Italy. The introductory price for the new route starts at €30 excluding tax or baggage supplement.
This is the second Italian destination for the airline, which already serves CDG-Genoa.. At CDG, Volotea also offers seasonal flights to Figari in Corsica and a daily flight to Athens in partnership with Aegean.
Marseille, Algeria's new air hub
In France, Volotea is present in 20 airports with six bases in Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, Strasbourg and Toulouse.. The airline has also just obtained traffic rights to Algeria, where it will ramp up its operations from February. However, it is launching its first flights this December. Every Thursday, an aircraft will connect Bordeaux in Algiers (two flights from mid-February). Volotea inaugurates the Marseille-Oran route at the same time this month with two flights a week.
Marseilles should also become the airline's hub to and from Algeria.. From February onwards, Volotea will launch two weekly flights from Marseilles to Paris.Annaba, from Bejaïa, Constantine, Sétif and Tlemcen. Finally, the company will be offering three weekly flights between Lyon and Sétif.
All flights are operated in Airbus A319 or A320 single-class cabins.
