Along with London, Paris is citizenM's favourite destination. These two major cities together account for almost a third of the thirty or so establishments offered worldwide by the pioneering lifestyle hotel brand. With 11 new hotels expected by 2023, the Dutch brand will be adding its fifth establishment in the French capital. After Paris-CDG airport, the districts of La Défense and Lyon station and the Champs Elysées Since late summer 2021, a new hotel has been in the pipeline in the Opéra and Grands Boulevards district, on rue du Croissant.
"Following the successful launch of citizenM Paris Champs-Élysées last year, we are delighted to add a fifth hotel in Paris, in the dynamic Opéra district" said Klaas Van Lookeren, CEO of citizenM. Although the structural work on the building, by architects Hardel Le Bihan, was completed last March, it is not due to open until 2023. The hotel will offer 84 rooms and everything that makes up the special atmosphere of citizenM with art, design, a 24/7 canteenM bar and kitchen, workspaces, and a touchless experience.
Without waiting for this opening, the brand's customers can take advantage of the new mycitizenM+ loyalty programme. Unlike traditional hotel programmes, the brand's strategy is based not on points and status, but on discounts and benefits. For a subscription of 10 euros per month all year round, citizenM guarantees room availability for bookings made by members at least 48 hours in advance, and with a discount of 10 % off the lowest public rate. Membership of mycitizenM+ also entitles you to a free late check-out and access to a dedicated chat service as well as discounts and events reserved for members.
The lifestyle brand had already introduced this subscription concept in 2020 with the launch of the world passport anda company subscription package. Additional modules are currently being developed to personalise these season tickets according to the type of traveller, whether leisure travellers, company employees or self-employed professionals. " We have always attracted entrepreneurs, freelancers and consultants. Many of them are starting or expanding a business and pay for their travel out of their own pockets. We understand how important it is to be attractive while still providing a high quality travel experience. That's why we launched mycitizenM+." said Ernest Lee, Growth Director at citizenM.
