London Underground accelerates towards 4G and 5G connectivity

A recent agreement between Transport for London (TfL) and operators Vodafone and Virgin Media O2 will improve connectivity for business travellers on the London Underground.

Staying connected across the Channel, even in the bowels of the London Underground, will soon be possible for local commuters and business travellers alike. Transport for London (TfL) has joined forces with Vodafone and Virgin Media O2This brings to four the number of operators partnering BAI Communications, which is responsible for mobile connectivity on the London Underground. As a result, 4G coverage continues to grow, with five new stations connected within the next six months: Bank, Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road, Euston and Camden Town.
