Special report - Barcelona: sweet Catalan madness

Pascal Baudoin, Sales Director, Olatravel incoming agency

"A mix of cultural themed discoveries and dynamic activities".

How many French incentive groups do you welcome each year?
Pascal Baudoin - We receive around twenty French groups for operations that generally last four days.

What are their main requests?
P. B. - It's a mix of cultural themed discoveries, such as Art Nouveau or Gothic, and dynamic activities such as regattas, go-karting or mini-car tours. Walking and cycling rallies are also very popular.

Why did they choose Barcelona?
P. B. - Firstly, for its image: dynamic, avant-garde, cultural, sunny and only 1h30 from Paris. And secondly, for its festive and fashionable side.

What is its incentive potential?
P. B. - It's huge! It's a city by the sea, offering all the activities of a modern metropolis with a wealth of culture, combined with those of a seaside resort: water sports, beaches, seafood restaurants...
Barcelona's surrounding area is also ideal for a number of excursions.

When is the ideal time to organise an operation?
P. B. - Although Barcelona can be visited all year round, May-June and September-October are undoubtedly the best months.
