Since 25 April, passengers onAir Austral benefit from a completely refurbished lounge at La Réunion-Roland Garros airport. This redesigned space invites passengers to relax, dine or work in a warm, elegant and comfortable setting, with a deeply Reunionese touch, before boarding or during a connection.
Designed to offer a new experience, this lounge is dedicated to Club Austral customers and MyCapricorne Premium and Exclusive membersand to travellers benefiting from an Air Austral Extra Lounge, travelling to Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Bangkok or on the airline's regional routes.
Accommodating up to 50 peopleThe lounge has been redesigned for comfort and intimacy, with a touch of Reunion, combining the company's blue with local wood and large motifs featuring symbols from Reunion.
The design of the lounge has been entirely conceived by Studio Cosa, architects of the Rouge Céladon interior design shop in Reunion, to create a spacious and exceptional space. Several distinct zones meet the different needs of travellers:
- Cozy benches for families,
- Intimate alcoves.
- Shower area
- Functional workspaces, including plenty of power and USB sockets and free wi-fi.
- Modern, refined surroundings, ideal for relaxing.
- Air Austral also offers a refined self-service gourmet buffet with a selection of premium verines, canapés and beverages.
More frequencies to Madagascar and Paris this summer
This new-look show opens at a time when the company celebrates its 50th anniversary- including 35 years under the Air Austral brand.
The company continues to grow. The summer season is characterised by an increased frequencies on the La Réunion - Paris-CDG route (12 weekly frequencies) and on La Réunion - Nosy-Be in Madagascar (5 frequencies per week). Air Austral has also announced that it will continue to offer a third weekly frequency to Bangkok from December 2025. This third weekly flight should be on sale until at least the end of March 2026.
