The SNCF strike continues on 4 April, called by four unions. On the Transilien and TER networks, management expects 1 train out of 5 on Wednesday. As for the "long-distance trains", i.e. the TGV and IntercitésOn average, only 1 train in 7 should be running today.
The situation is more nuanced when it comes to international business travel. The network Thalys should function almost normally, and 3 Eurostar out of 4 will be maintained. On the other hand, as was the case yesterday, no Lyria trains will be running between France and Switzerland, and a third of services will be operated between France and Germany.
According to the SNCF's midday forecast, users can expect a "gradual return to normal service on Thursday 5 April", although "there may still be some disruption in the early morning". The company expects 3 trains out of 4 on the Transilien and TER networks, and 3 trains out of 5 on the Intercités. TGV traffic is expected to be almost normal.
