The Belgian long-haul airline Air Belgium confirmed the launch on 7 December two weekly flights - on Wednesdays and Saturdays - connecting Brussels Sud-Charleroi to Pointe-à-Pitre and Fort-de-France on a triangular route. Departing from Brussels South, passengers first land at Fort-de-France in Martinique before flying on to Guadeloupe. From Pointe-à-Pitre, the aircraft flies directly back to Belgium. Flights depart from Brussels mid-morning to facilitate passengers arriving by public transport.
