Eurostar is off to a good start in 2014. The railway company has posted an improved result for the first quarter of 2014, both in terms of sales (+7% to £227 million) and traffic (+3 %), with 2.3 million passengers recorded. "The improvement we have seen in business travel in recent months is contributing to these good business results today," says Nicolas Petrovic, Eurostar's Managing Director. In fact, the "Business Premier" business class recorded growth of 6 %, a trend "already noted in the second half of last year and linked mainly to the performance of the UK market, [which] is beginning to spread to other markets at the start of 2014" according to Eurostar.
