Barely open to the public, the recently renovated Terminal 1 at Roissy Charles de Gaulle is temporarily hosting the Hong Kong airline's operations, Cathay Pacific.
Since 8 December, aircraft operated by the Chinese carrier land and depart from this terminal. Passengers will now check in at Hall 1 of Terminal 1. Check-in counters open 4 hours before flight departure and close 75 minutes before departure.
Terminal 2A/2C will be closed for works.. However, Terminal 1 is nothing new for Cathay Pacific. When it arrived in France some thirty years ago, the terminal welcomed flights from the Hong Kong airline, which at the time operated a Paris CDG-Frankfurt (with traffic rights)-Hong Kong route.
In December, Cathay Pacific operated 4 weekly flights between Paris and Hong Kong Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The carrier is back on the road to recovery with a planned increase in frequencies to and from Hong Kong over the coming months. Cathay has already announced that it will be taking over daily service to Paris from April 2023.
Flight CX260 takes off from Paris-CDG T1 at 12:15 and lands in Hong Kong at 07:20 (D+1)
Flight CX261 departs Hong Kong at 10.45pm and arrives at Paris-CDG. T1 at 06:15 (D+1)
