Delta Air Lines expands its South American routes from New York JFK

Delta Air Lines is strengthening its New York JFK hub with new routes to South America. Next winter, the airline will launch services to Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro.

Delta Air Lines to launch new routes from New York JFK to Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires next winter

Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires. These will be the two new destinations launched by Delta Air Lines next winter from New York JFK. These routes will also connect with the Delta network to Europe.

The flight to Buenos Aires will start on 29 October.. Planned as a seasonal winter service, the route will be operated daily by a Boeing 767-400. It will offer four classes of service: Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and traditional economy class. This flight will complement the daily service between Atlanta and Buenos Aires.

The new link to Rio de Janeirothe third announced by Delta and LATAM since the joint venture was approved in September 2022 - will also be operated daily by Boeing 767-300s. Here too, the aircraft will offer four classes on board. The flight, which is currently seasonal, will start on 17 December and will be operated in partnership with LATAM.

The Delta/LATAM partnership already offers the largest number of routes between New York and South America.. The joint venture includes flights between JFK and Sao Paulo, Lima, Santiago de Chile, Bogota, Colombia and Buenos Aires and Rio by winter. It also offers a extensive flight schedule from Atlanta.

Delta Air Lines will also be adding summer schedules, a third daily frequency from 25 May to Paris CDG-JFK and un daily flight to Geneva-JFK from 11 April.
