DOSSIER - South Africa: the World Cup effect
The air of madness that hangs over South Africa's stadiums is also the era of a nation freed from its past demons. This is Africa with a new look - new infrastructure, brand new hotels - and it even intends to put the figures that stick to its head to one side, with increased security, particularly in Johannesburg.
South Africa is also a growing Mice destination, with large-calibre convention centres, such as in Durban, where the long-awaited King Shaka airport will soon be inaugurated. So South Africa is making a name for itself in business tourism, with the city of Cape Town once again at the forefront.
