Hotel development never stops in Dubai. This is true in general, but even more so in the run-up to theuniversal exhibition 2020, postponed due to Covid and expected in the emirate from 1ᵉʳ October 2021 to 31 March 2022.

At the beginning of May, an Adagio residence opened on the artificial island of Palm Jumeirah. Still on Palm Jumeirah, another top-of-the-range establishment is expected to open in December: the NH Dubai The Palm, the Spanish brand's first hotel in the Middle East. For its debut, NH Hotels will be part of a mixed-use development, the Seven Hotel & Apartments, comprising two towers. The hotel will offer 227 rooms and suites on one side and 306 serviced flats on the other.
Located on The Palm's main thoroughfare, next to the island's largest shopping mall, the complex will offer several restaurants and bars - including one focusing on sporting events - a spa, a fitness centre and a rooftop swimming pool. On the business side, the NH Dubai The Palm will feature four meeting rooms and a large, comfortable, multi-purpose space for teamwork. " With access to the gym and showers, ideal for those who have to leave late" says the group.
While NH and Adagio have focused on Palm Jumeirah, Marriott has strengthened its Dubai offering in the residential district of Al Raffa. To mark the occasion, in mid-May the American group presented a duo hotel that responds to two key trends: lifestyle with Aloft and long stays with Element. " Dubai is a thriving destination for leisure and business travellers looking for original experiences." said Sandeep Walia, vice-president for the United Arab Emirates at Marriott International.
The duo hotel on Sheikh Rashid Road offers a total of 288 rooms, including 192 for Aloft Al Mina Dubai alone. This contemporary hotel cultivates the dynamism characteristic of the brand with its W XYZ Bar, Re:mix Lounge and MIX restaurant, open all day. There is also a fitness centre and outdoor swimming pool, as well as a dedicated meeting space. As well as its 96 studios and one and two-bedroom flats, the Element Al Mina Dubai also has a compact meeting room and a state-of-the-art fitness centre.
