The 344 devices of the company easyJet will henceforth remain on the ground, except for one-off operations to evacuate tourists stranded outside their respective countries in Europe. Of these, 136 aircraft are based in Europe, 27 in Switzerland, mainly in Geneva. The airline has not yet set a time limit for this measure. In France, this decision will further depress already extremely low air traffic levels. According to the company's results for the 2019 financial year, easyJet was number 1 in Bordeaux, Basel/Mulhouse, Lille, Grenoble, Lyon, Nantes and Nice. The airline was in second place in Toulouse and for Paris CDG. It is also the largest operator at Geneva airport. This grounding should lead to the closure of new airport terminals, such as Billi in Bordeaux and Terminal 3 in Lyon.
