The new Premium Lounge, inaugurated on Thursday in New York, embodies the 'Facets of Abu Dhabi' identity promoted by Etihad Airways, echoing the new cabin interiors, livery and uniforms inspired by traditional Emirati design elements. Located in the heart of Terminal 4 at New York airport, close to the boarding area and after the security checkpoint, the new space is designed by Chicago-based architects Gensler and consultants Landor Associates, a global brand.
The lounge includes a cocktail and mocktail bar, a dining room, a relaxation area and new customised furniture. It also has a variety of seating styles for different areas, changing rooms with showers, a library and luggage storage.
"The opening of Etihad Airways' new First and Business Lounge at New York's JFK International Airport reinforces our commitment to investing in the travel experience and providing our customers with the highest levels of comfort, luxury and hospitality at every stage of their journey - on the ground and in the air," said James Hogan, Chairman of Etihad Airways. The national airline of the United Arab Emirates is currently upgrading its lounges in Abu Dhabi, Frankfurt, London Heathrow, Manchester, Dublin, Paris, Sydney and Washington, DC.
