Finnair is continuing to expand its European network. The carrier is adding a total of 12 new destinations for the summer 2026 season from its Helsinki hub. While many of these are holiday destinations targeting Scandinavian tourists, the arrival of Finnair à Luxembourg is important for French-speaking business travellers. Served until 1982, Finnair has not landed at the Grand Duchy's airport for over 40 years. The airline will be offering 2 to 3 weekly frequencies to Luxembourg during the summer season.
For business markets, the carrier will also be launching new routes to Scandinavia. These include Kuressaare in Estonia (3 flights a week), Stavanger in Norway (8 flights a week) and Umeå in Sweden (9 flights a week via Vaasa). The aircraft will be leased from the Danish regional airline Jettime.
In addition, for winter 2026, Finnair will be strengthening its presence in Lapland, offering direct flights from three European cities, Paris, Brussels and Brussels. Zurich. Brussels and Zurich will have direct access to Kittilä, while Paris will have flights to Rovaniemi.
Finnair is also strengthening its presence in Thailand this winter, offering 25 flights a week, including up to three daily flights to Bangkok with a night flight. The airline is also returning to Krabi and Phuket.
With these additions, Finnair's network for 2026 includes a total of 93 European destinations, 11 Asian destinations, seven North American destinations (including Toronto, which will open in summer 2026) and two destinations in the Middle East.
