
La strike is fast approaching in Greece. Air traffic controllers plan to stop work Thursday 28 Augustfor a period of 24 hoursunder the impetus of the Confederation of Public Service Unions (ADEDY).
Aegean is still hoping for a ray of sunshine in the Greek sky. The company is counting on "a possible cancellation by the competent court". The company's management stated: " In accordance with the notification issued by the Civil Aviation Authority, the air traffic controllers' participation in the strike could be suspended by court order. Pending this decision, AEGEAN and Olympic Air flight schedules remain unchanged ".

But the recent example ofAir Canadawhose strike had been extended even though it had been deemed illegal, is forcing the Greek carrier to anticipate... Aegean offers travellers greater flexibility, allowing them to change their booking to a new date of travel free of charge until 30 September 2025, with no change fee or fare difference. Or they can cancel their booking and obtain a credit note valid for future travel.
