Golden Tulip unveils its new flagship hotel in Shanghai

Lobby open to the city, quality catering with local flavours, trendy bar, food trucks, tandems available to guests, but also, on the technology side, an interactive wall showing places to visit, running routes and cultural events, or the smartphone as a room key: Golden Tulip has set itself the mission of re-enchanting business stays with its new slogan "Playtime, anytime". In November, the Golden Tulip brand unveiled the flagship hotel for this new positioning in Shanghai.

Located in the heart of the Hongqiao business district, the 600-room hotel reflects the brand's new fundamentals, with a revamped lobby designed to encourage guests to meet and mingle. The restaurant offer combines oriental flavours in the Tastes restaurant, offering a show cooking experience based on Asian specialities, and French gastronomy in the Atelier quartier. Among the hotel's three bars, The Top, located on the roof, offers a spectacular view of the city. Finally, from a more business point of view, the Golden Tulip Shanghai Rainbow offers an executive floor and 1100 m² of conference rooms.

As part of this overall increase in the level of its offering, the Louvre Groupthe owner of the Campanile, Kyriad, First Class and Golden Tulip and a subsidiary of Chinese hotel group JinJiangannounced theacquisition of Hôtels & Préférence. With 140 members, most of them in France, this voluntary chain specialises in four and five-star hotels, and its members now include the Royal in Evian, the Hôtel du Palais in Biarritz, the Napoléon in Paris and the Carlton in Lille. "Hôtels & Préférence will enhance our offering with luxury establishments and resorts, as well as boutique hotels, business hotels and numerous charming residences. It's a natural extension of our positioning and our strategy of moving upmarket."said Pierre-Frédéric Roulot, CEO of Groupe du Louvre and Jin Jiang Europe.
