Malaysia Airlines now in partnership with Qantas

A new codeshare agreement between Malaysia Airlines and Australia's Qantas offers passengers enhanced connections between Malaysia, Australia and Southeast Asia.

The companies Malaysia Airlines and Qantasboth members of the oneworld alliance, are taking their collaboration to a new level with the signing of a code-share partnership. The aim is to simplify travel between Australia, Malaysia and beyond. It offers passengers greater choice, fluidity and comfort.

Thanks to this agreement, Malaysia Airlines will affix its "MH" code to 18 domestic routes operated by Qantas in Australia, facilitating connections from major international gateways to cities such as Canberra, Darwin, Hobart or Launceston.

For its part, Qantas will place its code "QF" on Malaysia Airlines flights between Kuala Lumpur to Australia's major cities, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adélaïdebut also to Singapore and several iconic Malaysian destinations such as Langkawi, Penang, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching.

This partnership accompanies Malaysia Airlines' expansion in Australia. From 29 November 2025The airline will resume its flights to Brisbane with five weekly frequencies. Services to Melbourne and Sydney will be increased to three daily flights from 30 and 31 October 2025. À In Perth, service will be increased from 12 to 14 weekly flights from 1 December 2025.whileAdelaide will benefit from a daily service from 1 February 2026. These developments reflect Malaysia Airlines' determination to consolidate its presence in this key market over the long term.
