Hotel bookings are evolving with business travellers, and are becoming increasingly mobile: this is confirmed by figures recently published by HRS, which saw mobile bookings reach 6% in 2012. HRS goes even further, looking ahead to the short term: "Hotel bookings on mobiles are growing and, by 2014, the number of 'mobinauts' will exceed the number of internet users connecting from a personal computer, fixed or laptop" even predicts the hotel booking specialist. "By next year, one in five HRS bookings will be made from a smartphone or tablet," adds the report published by HRS.
