Akbar Al Baker, the head of Qatar Airways, has travelled all the way to Paris last week to inaugurate a brand new business lounge on theCharles de Gaulle airport. This inauguration, celebrated in the presence of Frank Goldanel, Director of Aéroports de Paris, and Abdullah Al Subaey, Chairman of the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, marks a new stage in the airline's expansion on the French market.
Business travellers - passengers on Première and Affaires classes - now have access to a top-of-the-range space with some 1000 m²able to accommodate over 200 guests. It has a bar, a brasserie and a restaurant. two outdoor terraces where you can see the Eiffel Tower. Quite a symbol. Business travellers will also be able to make the most of the WiFi accessto MAC computers and showerswith the company referring to " the 5-star travel experience ".

The airline's ambitions in France are not limited to the capital. The new route to Nice will soon illustrate this growing power.
