The small revolution taking place at SNCF is forcing the railway company to prepare the ground as early as possible. The start of major works and the introduction of new timetables - with departures at intervals that make more sense for passengers - scheduled for 11 December are bound to shake up many of the little habits of frequent travellers. The SNCF is therefore anticipating these changes by announcing on Monday 26 September the new timetables planned for the end of the year, under the slogan "from 11 December, your timetables will change, but from 26 September we are here to help you". Three months of preparation, which do not seem disproportionate to the changes planned, since 85% of the timetables are in fact modified: "unprecedented in the history of the railways in Europe" warns the SNCF.
