The launch of a start-up accelerator had been made official by the RATP Group at the end of 2019. It was still necessary to identify the ideas that were most relevant to the group. Since the beginning of February, we have known more about the new shoots that will be working on the project for the next two years. six months around six areas for reflection, experimentation and action. On the agenda: intermodality, network mapping, optimised use of equipment and air quality. With the aim of raising the profile of the event: participation in the forthcoming Vivatech in June 2020, during which the start-ups will present their advances on the RATP Group stand.
The six start-ups in the programme include Jungle Buswhich has been shortlisted in the "Surface networks of the future" category, and which relies on the OpenStreetMap community to " collect and analyse the mobility data needed to optimise transport and create the innovative services of tomorrow" say those in charge of the programme. The latter are already talking about deployment on " new markets in France and around the world" .
Another promising avenue: the start-up FieldBox.aipromoted to the IA at the service of passengers", which has been given the task of "optimising rolling stock management in real time, in order to improve service quality and passenger comfort" . In short, FieldBox.ai's work is designed to provide RATP Group professionals with a business application that uses artificial intelligence to optimise the use of rolling stock in different scenarios. The aim is to reduce the impact of these hazards on users.
As for the environmental aspect of the programme - focusing on air quality - this will be embodied by Bioxegy. Its ambition: " taking inspiration from the fins of humpback whales to rethink the fan blades installed in underground trains and thus improve air quality treatment" ...
