
For once, business travel helped to make the second quarter of 2015 a good one for theEurostarwith business traffic up by 10% on both sides of the Channel. The railway company welcomed the highest number of travellers ever recorded over a three-month period, with more than 2.8 million passengers (+3%) between the UK and the Continent. "Over the last three months, Eurostar has welcomed the highest number of passengers ever recorded in a single quarter," said Nicolas Petrovic, Eurostar's Chief Executive. "With demand at record levels, we are looking forward to the launch of our new trains. Indeed, the commissioning the e320 - currently in its final testing phase - is scheduled for the end of 2015.
