Singapore Airlines (SIA) announces changes in its ground and flight services, particularly in the layout of the cabins. Although the company will unveil its new products in November next year, it has nevertheless decided to present its new culinary offering now.
This improves their dining experience on board with new menus and revisited dishes, a wider beverage offering, bespoke table service, and distinctive touches in the presentation and service of certain dishes in Suites and First Class.
This 2.0 restoration is part of a broader investment by SIA. The company promises an improved end-to-end travel experience, which includes the deployment of a new-generation cabin, the evolution of the KrisWorld in-flight entertainment system, new amenities, high-speed connectivity, and improved ground services.
Commenting on the new culinary offering, Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President Customer Experience at Singapore Airlines, explained that «At Singapore Airlines, in-flight dining is not just about the meal itself. Based on feedback from our customers, the evolution of their preferences and new culinary trends, we have reevaluated every aspect of the experience, from the design of the menus to the seasonal ingredients and cooking techniques, through to the selection of beverages, presentation, and service provided by the cabin crew. The result is a combination of carefully prepared dishes, carefully selected beverages, elegant service items accompanied by small touches that make the in-flight dining experience even more memorable for our customers.»
This enriched experience includes more than 100 new hors d'oeuvres, main courses and desserts, as well as revisited dishes, offered in all travel classes as part of SIA Chefs’ Selection. This is a new category of onboard menus developed by the company’s chefs and guest chefs in collaboration with its catering partners. It combines comforting and familiar flavors, regional specialties, reinvented classics, and new culinary creations.
In Suites, First Class and Business Class, meals will be served in new tableware designed specifically in collaboration with Christofle, the French house of luxury tableware and silverware. The entire service incorporates a subtle interpretation of SIA’s iconic batik motif.
Finally, SIA is also introducing new wine selections in Suites, First Class and Business Class, as well as new spirits options in all travel classes. The crew will be trained to offer beverage recommendations to complement passengers’ food choices.
The company has begun to gradually deploy the new dishes. The other improvements to the dining experience, including the new beverages, the new tableware, and the new amenities on board, will be introduced starting in November 2026.
