SnapCar is moving up a gear: four years after its launch in Paris, the chauffeur-driven touring car (VTC) application is setting out to conquer the regions. The first stop is Lyon, where the platform dedicated to corporate customers will officially launch at the end of the year. 12 December exactly. Local companies and business travellers visiting the French capital will be able to take advantage of the SnapCar for Business service developed by the start-up. The service is available free of charge, with no additional cost and no volume commitment.
SnapCar now has 2000 drivers in Paris, and some 1000 corporate customers. 170,000 users have already booked a vehicle via the VTC platform, which multiplied its turnover by 2.5 last year.
The launch of the VTC service in Lyon marks a turning point in the development of the company, which has no intention of stopping there. SnapCar's managers are emphasising the " international vocation "of the platform, which "will be rolled out rapidly across other major European cities ".
