The IHG Group's return to the Swedish market has taken an eminently business-oriented path with a prime location for business travellers and tech professionals: the Kista districtin the northern suburbs of Stockholm. The local Silicon Valley, Europe's largest cluster dedicated to information and communication technologies. This is the site of a new hotel for the top-of-the-range Voco brand, just a stone's throw from the headquarters of companies such as Ericson, research centres and technology parks, as well as office complexes. Visit Nordic Forum among others, which housed Ericson teams in its early days in the 1980s, but whose 42,000 m² gradually became half-occupied in the middle of the last decade.
Having taken over the venue in 2016, Revelop has set itself the goal of giving the Nordic Forum a new lease of life, as well as a more sustainable approach, with BREEAM Very Good certification for the venue. At the heart of this strategy is a diversification of activities, welcoming companies from a wide range of backgrounds - from tech to healthcare, insurance and logistics - and adding a coworking space for start-ups. This diversification also extends to the presence on the site of a fitness centre and a restaurant, and above all to the conversion of 9,000 m² into a top-of-the-range hotel.
When the future voco hotel was announced last January, Thomas Sipos, Managing Director of the Revelop Group, described the project as follows: " We are transforming dilapidated offices into a contemporary premium hotel experience, in line with our strategy of extending the life of existing buildings and repurposing them with relevant new content." .

All on the top floor of the hotel, with an outdoor terrace and a café serving light meals. The hotel's main restaurant, The Eatery Garden, revisits classic European cuisine with a Nordic twist.
