With the resumption of infections linked to the covid-19 pandemic throughout the world, and particularly in Europe, travel conditions are once again becoming tougher for potential travellers. In less than two weeks, the United Kingdom has decided to impose a new about forty to travellers from Austria, Croatia, France and the Netherlands. Switzerland would be the next destination to suffer the same fate.
This week, Germany and Belgium have reintroduced compulsory screening tests and a compulsory fourteen for travellers coming from the Ile de France and PACA regions. Austria, Finland and Ireland have also begun to close their borders or tighten their controls.
On 26 August, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) reported that the countries of the EU, the EEA and the United Kingdom accounted for 2.09 million cases of contamination to covid-19 and almost 181,000 deaths.
